A short drive from our Agriturismo we can find a small natural reservoir, Lago delle Volpaie, a heavenly place for our local wildlife.
A wide range of animal’s species like heron, northern lapwing, snipe, shovel bird, ferruginous duck, pochard ducks find in this area the perfect safe place for nesting and for winter migration.
For keen bird watchers this is one of the best place to enjoy the beauty of the reserve. With a pinch of luck and if you are really patient you can also come across frogs, dragonflies and an otter or two.
